Delete your Tipr account
Last updated: September 11, 2026
This page is for anyone with a Tipr account — business owners, staff, and individual accounts — whether you use the Tipr website or the Tipr app. Tipr is the developer of both.
How to request deletion
- Email us from the address on your Tipr account with the subject “Delete my Tipr account”.
- If you have a tip page, include its link (usetipr.com/b/…) so we find the right account.
- We'll reply to that address to confirm the request came from you, then delete your account within 30 days of your confirmation.
Can't get into the email address on your account? Write to hello@usetipr.com anyway and we'll find another way to confirm it's you.
What we delete
- Your login: email address, name, and password.
- Your staff profile: role, photo, and tip-page details.
- Location data: any shift you're currently on and every place you've saved in the Tipr app.
- Notification tokens for your phones.
- If you have an individual account, or own a business: its tip page and business profile. For a business with staff, deleting the owner's account removes the business and your staff's access to it — staff can ask to delete their own accounts too.
What we keep, and for how long
- Tip and card-order records — amounts, dates, the name recorded on each tip, and payment references. We're required to keep these for as long as tax and financial record-keeping laws require, and delete them after that.
- Payout and identity details are held by Stripe, not by Tipr. Stripe keeps its own records under the Stripe Privacy Policy, and closing your Stripe account is done with Stripe.
Just want a copy of your data?
You don't have to delete your account for that. Email hello@usetipr.com and we'll send it. Our Privacy Policy has the full detail on what we collect.
